The Australian digital marketing landscape is set for a shakeup with major Malaysian online advertising and e-commerce company a2a Global Network entering the region and publicly listing on the National Stock Exchange.

Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, the company has offices in Jakarta and Hanoi and will be establishing a team in Sydney, to manage the expansion of its unique marketing business.

a2a expands into Australia, lists on NSX

a2a has created a data-driven e-commerce platform, which rewards users with loyalty points for purchases that can be redeemed at major outlets, including Hotels.com. Members pay a once-off joining fee of approximately A$10.

The platform is then able to capture detailed business insights for organisations trading on the system, with a2a collecting a royalty from merchants for all commerce over the platform.

The model has had distinct success throughout South East Asia. At the end of the 2017 the platform had attracted over 100,000 members and 359 registered merchants, including major brands, such as Malaysia Airlines and fashion group Zalora.

Today is a landmark achievement for a2a as the company continues its remarkable growth into the region,” a2a Non-Executive Chairman, Mr Tai Shoo Loo said.

“For many businesses, particularly small to medium enterprises, it is difficult to compete in the digital marketing space. a2a seeks to help these businesses through its revolutionary approach to data analytics and digital marketing, and we are now looking to bring our innovation to the Australian market,” he said.

a2a’s affiliate partner network operates across a broad range of industries, including health and wellness, hotels, automotive services and fashion.

The company now trades on the NSX under the code a2a.
