Aeris Environmental Ltd (ASX: AEI) has successfully installed and commissioned another proprietary SmartHUB ‘optimisation’ system in South East Asia.
This project, the instillation of nine large chillers used for process cooling for a large integrated aluminium producer, was delivered by the company and facilitated by Specialist Energy Management Solutions, Malaysia, (SEMS).
“Since commissioning the system, the client has seen an outstanding 13.62% average energy reduction, with an estimated $50,000 annual energy saving, resulting in a two-year payback on its $98,000 investment,” Aeris Environmental CEO Peter Bush said.
“This double digit energy saving on such large-scale chillers is regarded by the client as an impressive and sustainable reduction in operating costs, and an improvement in efficiency.
He said the client has also implemented additional Aeris programmes and products, specifying AerisGuard cooling tower water treatment into their plant maintenance process, providing long-term biofilm prevention, along with ongoing system and energy efficiency.
The recurring consumables will be in addition to the initial project cost and will provide the Company with ongoing annuity revenue.
This is an excellent result given the stringent requirements for the temperature accuracy and the sheer scale of the client’s operations.
This is our fifth project with SEMS to-date, each with exceptional technical and commercial outcomes. SEMS has proven to be a valuable and committed platinum partner, Mr Bush said.
