Mobile game developer Animoca Brands Corporation soared today after the successful launch of a new tower defence and collectible card mobile game netted the company A$202,000 and 260,000 installs in its first seven days of being made available on App Store.

Crazy Defence Heroes – the sequel to the highly successful Crazy Kings and developed by TicBits, the Finland-based subsidiary studio of Animoca Brands- is among the company’s most successful Asia launches.

It is currently available on Apple’s App Store in select Asian markets (China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, Mongolia, Philippines).

The stock (ASX:AB1) has jumped as much 170%, or 4.9c, to hit an intraday high of 7.8c on the news. It was trading at 7.2c, up 4.3c, at 2pm AEDT.

The game will be released to the rest of the world – including North America and Europe – later in the year.

Based on the early success on iPhone and iPad, Animoca Brands will also develop a version for Android devices.

Crazy Defence Heroes is a mobile game blending the deck building of a collectible card game, the suspense and strategy of tower defence, the tactics of resource management, an RPG character and equipment system, and a fantasy storyline with over 500 levels of innovative gameplay.

In addition to hundreds of hours of play in the single player campaign, the game features multiplayer tournaments and competitions.
