APM Human Services International Limited (ASX: APM) has been awarded a contract through Phase 2 of the Ontario Employment Services Transformation, expanding its growth in Canada.

In addition, International APM Group has been awarded two new JobCorps contracts in the United States.

Ontario Phase 2 Employment Services Transformation Programme Award

The Ontario government is transforming employment services to make them more efficient, more streamlined and outcomes focussed. Following the transformation roll-out, all jobseekers will have an integrated pathway for support across Ontario. The transformation is being staged across multiple phases, progressing to larger procurements as the programme is tested.

International APM Group currently delivers the Ontario Employment Services Transformation Program in the Peel and York regions. Procurement of Phase 2 has now been completed and International APM Group was awarded the Ottawa region. The contract has a five year term (three year contract plus a two year extension option) and transitioning has commenced.

Two New JobCorps contracts awarded in the US

Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training programme in the US and has been operating for more than 50 years with allocated funding of US$1.81 billion per annum in 2023. The programme helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.

Nationally the Job Corps program has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to three years. In addition to helping students complete their education, obtain career technical skills and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, childcare, and transportation.

APM was successful in new contract awards supporting growth in North America, being awarded new Job Corps contracts in Cassadaga, New York, and San Marcos, Texas. The Cassadaga contract will operate for five years and the San Marcos contract is a one-year interim contract allowing time for the future procurement with both contracts commencing in April 2023.
