Ten Australian technology projects have received high praise at the Australian division of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition, held in Sydney this week.
Now in its second year, the Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition consists of nine international divisions seeking to unearth some of the world’s most innovative entrepreneurs.
First overall prize for the Australian division was awarded to headphone manufacturers Audeara.
Audeara has developed a headphone technology which conducts a hearing test on the wearer, and then uses the results to tailor sound specifically for the user.
The headphone wearer is capable of experiencing a much more dynamic range of sound, aided by the software.

The winners were selected by a nine-person judging panel, assessing a highly-competitive pool of 20 separate projects.
Judges assessed a number of factors, including innovation, product development capacity, business model and industry market.
Each of the ten winners are now in the running for further accolades, being invited to participate as one of the 160 companies invited to the global Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition.
The global Competition will be held in Shenzhen, China, later this year. Competition organisers have said the overall winner stands to claim a stake of the RMB10.91 million total cash prize pool as well as significant industry recognition.
