Data-driven business enhancement company SenSen Networks (ASX:SNS) is bringing its suite of innovative technologies to New York, announcing an agreement with Silicon Harlem to explore potential business opportunities.

Headquartered in Melbourne, SenSen Networks is a world-leader in process enhancement solutions, video analytics and artificial intelligence.

The agreement with Silicon Harlem, a company focused on establishing technology infrastructure in New York, is expected to enhance collaboration between the two companies on projects such as the proposed Smart Corridor development at 116th Street.

The Smart Corridor project seeks to establish state-of-the-art technology infrastructure within New York City boroughs, for example connecting high-speed 5G broadband.

As part of this initial collaboration SenSen is exploring the use of its SenSIGN product, which uses a camera mounted vehicle and video analysis to collect street-side information.

SenSen will create a digital asset register of the 116th Street corridor, capturing all street, traffic and parking signs, as well as other city assets numbering in the thousands.

An extremely detailed register can be created in a fraction of the time when compared to manual observation.

Silicon Harlem is a leader in fostering technology to uplift communities and SenSen is equally passionate about delivering cost-effective solutions for city councils to better service their citizens,” SenSen Networks CEO Subhash Challa said.

“We look forward to working with Silicon Harlem to successfully deliver on the Smart City Corridor project at 116th Street, and beyond,” Mr Challa said.

The agreement builds SenSen Network’s portfolio of international data-driven projects.

SenSen has signed a multi-year contract with Singapore’s Changi Airport to provide video content analysis, tracking traffic movements and crowd control. The Company is also working with other major organisations, such as the City of Calgary, Canada and holds a partnership with artificial intelligence chip maker NVIDIA.

Shares in SenSen Networks gained over 9% today, closing at 17 cents per share.
