Angus Stevens is the CEO and co-founder of Start Beyond, Australia’s leading award-winning virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality studio. Working with Fortune Global 500 companies Accenture and Meta, as well as US-based VR company Strivr, Start Beyond is at the forefront of the metaverse for learning, having delivered more than 1.7 million AR and VR experiences since 2016. In past 18 months Start Beyond has been named in the Top 20 Australian Startup Employers, a HRD 5 Star Employer of Choice, and recognised by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia’s Top 10 Most Innovative Tech Companies. Author of the novel, VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED, Angus is also a regular speaker on VR, AR and the Metaverse. In 2023 he spoke at SXSW Sydney, was named Australian Top 50 Small Business Leader, and in September of that year officially launched the Australian Metaverse Advisory Council (AMAC) of which he is Chair.
