Mendix, a Siemens business and global leader in modern low-code enterprise application development, has announced its partnership with Australian experience design consultancy, The Customer Experience Company (CEC). Using Mendix, CEC customers will be able to build customised applications faster and with little need for technical expertise, enabling faster time-to-market and enabling non-technical domain experts to participate in application development.
With the business landscape evolving faster than ever, this partnership will enable CEC clients to rapidly deliver large scale customer experience (CX) and employee experience (EX) transformations, helping businesses to drive commercial and team outcomes while increasing their ability to respond to market conditions.
Established in 2003, CEC has been utilising a human-centred design approach to help organisations deliver better CX and EX for over 20 years. A common challenge faced by CEC clients is technical debt resulting from using older generational productivity tools and traditional coding approaches in attempting to bring new experiences to market. These tools can be inefficient, costly, and face compatibility challenges, making it difficult to implement new processes, services, tools and experiences.
“Our customers often come to us with an interesting problem or opportunity, but the time and cost it takes to build and implement designs often presents a challenge. In today’s shifting business landscape, organisations need to move at a rapid pace to meet customer demand – older systems simply can’t keep up,’ says Raj Mendes, Managing Director at CEC. ‘Technology has been a fantastic catalyst for improving both customer and employee experiences, but not every project needs a team of software engineers and for many companies this cost is prohibitive. Mendix helps us design, build and launch customer-centric digital solutions, with domain experts who don’t necessarily have extensive coding experience, which leads to both time and cost savings.”
CEC has already seen great success from customers leveraging low-code technology customers for its faster time to market and flexibility. Using Mendix, SDN Children’s Services (SDN), has been able to design and quickly deliver a customised, secure, scalable and functional application solution which automates childcare communication with families. This was built without interfering with existing IT systems.
“It’s great to see CEC customers such as SDN use low-code for good, helping provide consistent, quality services that are desirable for families and are sustainable.” says Finbar Brown, Country Manager, Mendix A/NZ, India & SEA. “By putting CX at the centre of its transformation, SDN has established itself as an innovator in the early education and childcare sector. We’re proud Mendix was able to play a part in helping deliver the solution efficiently.”
