Smart building material company ClearVue (ASX: CPV) has received Australian Certification 2047 for its solar window technology, allowing for its sale in the Australian market.

ClearVue Accreditation Allows Sales in Australian Market

AS2047 is the mandatory minimum specification for windows and doors used in Australia, and all windows and glazed doors in the external wall of a building must be tested to AS2047.

The certification involves testing for wind deflection, water leakages, wind pressure and air leakage, plus ensuring the are acceptably easy to open.

The accreditation by the AWA of the ClearVue window product to AS 2047 represents a giant leap forward for the company. With this step we have now moved from being a research company into a commercial operation and are now able to commercialise our product in the Australian market,” said ClearVue Executive Chairman Victor Rosenberg.

ClearVue has also joined the Australian Window Association for 2018. The AWA provides accreditation to approved members and their products, and is made up of over 600 window manufacturers and industry suppliers. Members of the association also have their products tested to AS2047.

ClearVue is separately undertaking AS 4284 testing on its glass curtain wall, with results expected in August 2018.

The Company also announced that it has commenced accreditation and certification in Europe, with results in August 2018. It also intends to commence US certification in the next quarter.
