Solar-power generating glass innovators ClearVue (ASX:CPV) has continued its international sales efforts, with its glass product heading to the Middle East via a signed Distribution License agreement flagged as an MOU earlier this month.

United Arab Emirates-based Grafsol, which is a trading company invested in environmentally-friendly building materials, has committed to act as ClearVue’s exclusive distributor in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar and as a non-exclusive distributor in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement is set to last for five years with two further five-year extensions subject to agreement.

Grafsol will also be able to extend its agreement for the right to manufacture ClearVue glass after 12-months, subject to a number of sales conditions.

ClearVue will further strengthen its international reputation with Grafsol separately committing to construct a fully operational demonstrator unit in the Middle East in quick time.

Commenting on the Distribution Licence agreement, executive chairman Victor Rosenberg said:

The Grafsol Distribution Licence represents both appointment of our first formalised exclusive licenced distributor and ClearVue’s first opportunity to launch into the Middle East region.

“We look forward to working with Grafsol initially to deliver their first order then to assist them in setting up their proposed regional demonstrator and then to providing our sales support after that,” he said.

ClearVue has been accelerating its commercialisation process, with its first active demonstrator unit completed earlier in 2019.

The glass product is currently installed at the Warwick Grove shopping centre in Western Australia following an agreement between ClearVue and Vicinity, Australia’s second largest listed manager of retail property.
