ClearVue (ASX:CPV) continues to spark interest from a diverse list of partners, with the ASX-listed solar-glass company announcing it has entered into a non-binding MOU with Western Australia’s Murdoch University to collaboratively construct a greenhouse.
The greenhouse will be situated within the university’s proposed agricultural research activities precinct, providing a high-profile application of its technology with the precinct to be used by Murdoch but also third parties, such as Curtin University, the Grains Research Development Corporation and the Western Australian Agriculture Authority.
The greenhouse is pursuant to a Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) grant by the Australian Government, valued at $1.6 million.
The fully constructed greenhouse will use the company’s smart glass building material, which can produce solar electricity by capturing UV and infra-red rays, while still permitting 70% visible light to pass through.
The greenhouse will be used by Murdoch University Professor Chengdao Li PhD and his team, who will be conducting a plant growth investigation, with the neighbouring non-ClearVue greenhouses acting as a control group. The trail will evaluate the effectiveness of the ClearVue’s greenhouse for plant growth.

ClearVue executive chairman Victor Rosenberg added:
The MOU between ClearVue and Murdoch University marks a great step towards construction of one of ClearVue’s first major projects.”
The MOU requires Murdoch to lease or license the designated land as well as provide access to ClearVue, in addition to the signing of a collaborative research arrangement between the organisations.
The completed greenhouse will represent one of ClearVue’s first commercial-scale technology demonstrations.
