Covata Limited (ASX: CVT) has signed its first SaaS customer on its SafeShare Microsoft Azure Cloud.

LBH Partners, a Sydney-based technology services business, has entered a monthly SaaS subscription for a minimum period of three years.

The agreement follows Covata’s recent announcement that it would deploy SafeShare on Microsoft’s Azure Cloud platform as software as a service (SaaS) offering and it would be live shortly thereafter following implementation and testing.

Covata Chief Commercial Officer, Derek Brown, said LBH has been a strong development partner of Covata and its commitment as a customer of the company’s platform demonstrates the value it can provide in securing sensitive software development data.

LBH Partner and Chief Technology Officer Phuong Hoang said the Covata SafeShare solution provides a with a much-needed global cloud-based data security platform to securely exchange highly sensitive data with his company’s enterprise and government customers.

Michael Langley, Partner at LBH, said security is core to the company’s operating principles.

“we continually align with industry best practices and international privacy and regulatory requirements. To achieve this, LBH will be embedding Covata’s DSP APIs into our own products and the relevant business applications we develop for our clients. With Covata’s DSP technology offering, LBH will be able to provide the highest level of protection for our client’s sensitive data, at all layers of the application architecture.” SafeShare is part of the Covata Data Security Platform (DSP), which allows for persistent discovery, protection, and control of sensitive and compliance regulated data no matter where it is stored or how it is used.

The Covata Data Security Platform provides a data-centric approach which greatly reduces risks of a data breach and also decreases the costs associated with maintaining multiple, expensive data security point products.
