eSports leader Emerge Gaming Limited (ASX:EM1) is preparing for a major marketing boost for its cutting-edge gaming platform ‘Arcade X’ across major telco networks in South Africa.
The company is set to kick off an aggressive marketing campaign in late July that will reach more than 50 million paying subscribers of major South African telcos, including MTN, Vodacom and CellC, which will collectively provide access to 80% of the country’s population to promote Arcade X.
Arcade X provides casual gamers with the ability to play over 300 casual games on their mobile devices while being exposed to corporate advertising, which is a key revenue stream for Emerge Gaming.
Emerge Gaming said the campaign would utilise the capability to accept daily payments with an integrated billing solution that will drive significant high volume of new user acquisitions in the coming weeks across multiple devices and networks.
With Emerge Gaming’s proprietary integrated tournament services and with strong network partnerships now established, we are set to secure corporate agreements with major global companies looking to gain eSports marketing exposure,” said Emerge Gaming’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Greg Stevens.
As part of the South African launch, Emerge Gaming plans to leverage the channels of eMedia Holdings Limited, a South African media conglomerate, which operates a variety of broadcasting, content and production businesses. Emerge Gaming, which listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in April, said it was now in a prime position to streamline the Arcade X roll out globally.
“We will use this experience to roll out the proprietary ‘Arcade X’ technology to markets across the globe,” Mr Stevens said.
