Sales momentum is building in Australia for geospatial imagery products and services specialist Spookfish Limited (ASX: SFI) with first contracts in Adelaide and Melbourne and over 3500 contracted users accessing its program.

The ASX-listed company (ASX: SFI) said Adelaide had joined Melbourne as the latest capital city to be published on-line and subsequently, Spookfish had achieved first sales in both cities.

Meanwhile, Sydney capture is well underway, with capture imagery progressively published to support targeted customer trials while Brisbane operations commenced recently following operational deployment of the company’s third Aztec aircraft.

The company anticipates that by mid-year, it should have completed all major capital cities in Australia, potentially resulting in further contracts.

Regionally, Spookfish has published high resolution imagery for more than one-fifth of the non-metropolitan areas Spookfish plans to capture across WA, Victoria, SA and NSW.

These major regional centres include Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Mildura, Albury-Wodonga, Karratha, Port Hedland, Newman, Geraldton, Broome, Bunbury and Busselton.

Spookfish has signed license deals with a number of significant customers, including a national contract with one of the world’s leading navigation and map-making technology companies TomTom Global Content B.V. and qualification for the Landgate Capture WA Panel with an opportunity pipeline already underway.

The Company has also recently engaged with the Australian Defence Organisation and other top-tier contractors regarding potential military applications for the camera system and associated processing technology.

Shares in Spookfish closed the day at 18c.
