1: Detect, Track, or Remediate Small Space Debris
Won with Ensemble Consultancy, the challenge is by NASA’s Space Tech Mission Directorate. NASA seeks concepts for tracking and remediating small debris in orbit (1 to 10mm). Successful ideas will identify scalable methods, discuss tech gaps, estimate system capabilities, and outline a demo program for implementation. Valued at $200,000
2: Add Modified Condition/Decision Coverage to Gcov Tool
A project on behalf of Orion Avionics, Power, and Software (APS) aims to modify GNU Coverage (gcov) to include MC/DC metrics. This will aid NASA programs like Orion Flight Software. The change will save significant time for the Artemis II mission. Valued at $165,000
3: Liquid Free Micro-Gravity Ullage Venting
In partnership with Maven, Freelancer will be working with NASA GSFC Exploration & In-Space Services (NExIS) Division to develop a novel solution to vent a tank gas/vapour mixture without liquid ingestion into the vent.possibly be external to a tank. Valued at $140,000
4: Urban Air Taxi Visual Discomfort Study
Hosted with the Advanced Air Vehicle Program (AAVP) under the Revolutionary Vertical Lift Technology (RVLT) project, the proposed activity will develop an app or website for consumer-level VR systems to conduct a large-scale crowd-sourced passenger acceptance study of virtual flights in an urban air taxi. Valued at $105,000
5: Emerging Technology Solutions in Aeronautics, Space exploration, and Science
Won in partnership with Blue Clarity LLC. NASA is seeking to identify emerging technology solutions and trends in three areas (aeronautics, space exploration, and science) that would be of interest to the future of NASA’s Langley Research Centre. Valued at $65,000.
