Western Australian based technology company Moboom Pty Ltd has appointed highly experienced executive Collin Visaggio as Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately.
Mr. Visaggio has 33 years’ experience in corporate leadership, strategy, financing and governance. He was formerly the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of InterOil Corporation, a company that he listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in March 2009 and which was sold to Exxon Mobil in July 2016.
During his tenure at InterOil he raised over US$1.2billion in debt and equity and the company grew to be valued at over US$3billion, with over 1000 employees.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Previously, Mr. Visaggio held senior business positions within Woodside Petroleum and BP Australia. He also served on the Board of Santa Maria Ladies College from 2004 to March 2010, including as Chairman for four of those years.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Visaggio said, ”I am genuinely excited to be joining Moboom, both as a director and shareholder, at a time where there is much positive activity.”
The appointment of Mr. Visaggio to the Moboom Board comes at a time when the company has increased its global expansion plans and secured several key agreements to drive this global growth.
“Collin brings a wealth of experience to the Board as it seeks to achieve profitability in the near term and consider liquidity options for shareholders,” said Moboom founder and CEO, Mr. Gavin Burnett.
Moboom has developed a patented, leading web product building platform where responsive design combines with an adaptive content management system. It states that its websites are fast, responsive to any device – from mobile phones and tablets through to desktop and large screens – are secure on Amazon’s AWS cloud and are Google-friendly.
It also owns Hotfrog Pty Ltd, a global online business directory with 123 million listings across 38 countries.
Recently, Hotfrog entered strategic agreements with global directory business Yext.com and Web.com, meaning that via the Hotfrog Website App, powered by Moboom’s proprietary web-building platform, businesses within the owned and partnered directories can build a modern, customisable, mobile responsive website utilising their own data.
Utilising this technology Moboom recently built ~ 600,000 unique websites using Yext.com data in several days.
