Subscription-based Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) product specialist InteliCare Holdings Ltd (ASX: ICR), has revealed it is participating in an upcoming pilot project with WA Country Health Service.
Further expansion into the remote and regional care market
The $101,691 pilot programme will measure the efficiency of InteliCare’s assistive technology solution in supporting residents to live independently.
Additionally, it will provide WA Country Health Service with a non-intrusive system to improve resident safety and wellbeing. This supports ageing in place and reduces the need for escalation of care. 60% of the project funding will be awarded to InteliCare on the project commencement. The remaining 40% will be awarded to the company with the completion of pre-determined project milestones.
Providing tech solutions to a remote assisted living environment InteliCare’s predictive analytics mobile and dashboard platform, InteliLiving, enables elderly and disabled people to live with independence and dignity.
By combining discreet sensors, emergency alerts, and health devices, InteliLiving provides multiple layers of wellbeing intelligence and insight. These insights will be used to assist WA Country Health Service to proactively detect and respond to changes in resident behaviour and promote good health and wellbeing. WA Country Health Service is committed to embracing innovation and technology for the betterment of health services, as outlined in their Strategic Plan.
Market size and opportunity
The 12-month PoC of InteliLiving could provide contemporary evidence towards the success of datafocused remote and regional aged care. A formal evaluation process will take place. InteliCare hopes to replicate the model if successful.
The InteliCare PoC aligns to WA Health’s Sustainable Health Review recommendation to ‘invest in digital healthcare and use data wisely’.
