Retail drone developer IOT Group Limited (ASX: IOT) has expanded its footprint, signing a distribution agreement for the UK and Europe with the largest distributor in the world, Ingram Micro.
The deal allows IOT to create a strong UK and European distribution channel for its drones and other products.
Ingram Micro (UK) is UK subsidiary of Fortune 100 company Ingram Micro Inc – the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions.
Ingram Micro distribute and market a large variety of technology and mobility products from leading companies such as Acer, Apple, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard (“HP”), IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Samsung.
The company supports global operations through an extensive sales and distribution network throughout North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
Ingram Micro – which is the only global broad-based IT distributor with significant Asia-Pacific presence. – is in talks with IOT for the United States and South American territories.
IOT Group executive director Sean Neylon said the company continues to grow their distribution network.
The signing of the World’s largest distributor – Ingram Micro, for Europe and the UK, strengthens IOT’s footprint and sales presence in that territory,” he said.
Purchase orders are already in process and products are being shipped. IOT are seeing continual repeat orders from current retailers and distributors which strengthens the long-term plan for IOT to grow its sales and distribution network globally.
Mr Neylon said IOT was on target to significantly grow its business over the next five years.
IOT closed 22 per cent higher at 1.1c.
