Wangle Technologies Limited (ASX: WGL) has successfully completed the much anticipated launch of its ground-breaking family protection software suite, Wangle Family Insites (WFI).
The WFI protection suite utilises behavioural analysis of live mobile network traffic across Wangle’s secure VPN network to help parents identify and manage online risks to their children.
Developed in collaboration with Telethon Kids Institute and Wangle’s Head of Education, Robyn Treyvaud of Cyber Safe Kids, the platform also provides educational resources to parents when risks are identified by the WFI software.
The WFI method combines Telethon Kids Institute researchers analysing children’s and adolescent behaviours, with analysis of internet and GPS data passing through Wangle’s own accelerated VPN network.
WFI then analyses children’s online metadata in real time to look for emerging threats, informs and educates parents about the risks, and helps families work together to use the internet more safely.
The iOS version of the WFI App is now publicly available with the Android version of the WFI App undergoing final preparations for launch on the Google Play Store shortly.
Wangle Technologies’ Managing Director and CEO Sean Smith, said an informative video detailing how to setup Wangle Family Insites on mobile devices has today been uploaded to the WFI website:
He added that marketing activities have commenced, with an initial focus on brand awareness via public relations and paid social media campaigns, supported by acquisition activity via a range of activities including content marketing and paid search.
The product is/will be available via the Apple and Android App stores on a monthly or annual family subscription and will initially target Australia’s 6 million families before a planned international expansion.
