Nanoveu commences real-world integrations of ECS-Dot chipset

Nanoveu (ASX: NVU) has announced a significant milestone in advancing edge AI technology with the integration of its high-performance ECS-Dot Chipset into real-world applications.

This cutting-edge chipset addresses critical technical challenges in the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile technologies by enabling ultra-low-power, high-performance AI processing directly on devices.

Following exceptional benchmark results demonstrating industry-leading performance in speed, latency, and energy efficiency, the company is now focussing on addressing relevant, key technical challenges in the growing sectors of Healthcare and smart city infrastructure.

Recent Benchmark Results Show Industry Leading Performance:

The ECS-Dot Chipset has achieved exceptional results across several key benchmarks, solidifying its position as an industry leader in energy-efficient edge AI processing.

Highlights include:

  • In Person Detection: Latency of 5.2ms per inference and energy consumption of just 3.7 microjoules, setting new industry standards.
  • Image Classification: Achieved 20x reduction in energy consumption compared to leading competitors, with a latency of 6.3ms per inference.
  • Anomaly Detection: Over 200-fold improvement in energy efficiency compared to the best results from STMicroelectronics.
  • Keyword Spotting: Delivered a 10x increase in energy efficiency versus competitors, consuming only 3.07 microjoules per inference.

Next Step: Integration Testing to Validate Real-World Potential

With benchmarking completed, EMASS is now integrating its ECS-Dot Chipset with a range of physical sensors and interfaces to ensure the chipset can seamlessly operate with a diverse range of components relevant to IoT platforms and legacy systems. This process is designed to validate the chipset's capabilities in real-world conditions and address potential challenges ahead of commercialisation efforts. This critical phase focuses on:

  • Compatibility: Validating smooth and energy-efficient operation of the ECS Dot Chipset across a range of hardware, software, and network ecosystems.
  • Scalability: Ensuring consistent performance under varying data loads and device connections. Following successful testing, the chipset will move to field trials in the healthcare and “smart city” settings where

application-specific tasks will be evaluated to demonstrate commercial readiness and scalability.
