NETGEAR®, Inc.(NASDAQ:NTGR), the leading provider of networking products that power businesses of all sizes, has announced the expansion of its award winning business portfolio, bringing a range of all new WiFi 6 Access Points: WAX202, WAX206, WAX214 and WAX218, to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
The performance and security demands of a WiFi network have increased exponentially in recent times with professionals and students working and learning from home and small businesses operating at a higher capacity. As the newest members of the Business Essentials product family, these units combine class leading performance, easy installation, and premium security to offer NETGEAR’s best value WiFi options for businesses and home office professionals.
All units leverage the latest wireless standard, WiFi 6, to deliver more coverage than previous generations of WiFi technology. This advancement means problems such as spotty connectivity, congestion due to limited bandwidth, dropped connections, low speed, and lack of security are all solved thanks to the advanced technology built into these business solutions. In addition, WAX202 and WAX206 desktop Wireless Access Points can also integrate easily with the ceiling/wall mount WAX214 and WAX218 access points.
“The new desktop and ceiling/wall mount WiFi 6 Access Points from NETGEAR’s Business Essentials line of products, make it possible for small businesses and working professionals to deploy very reliable, high-performance, extremely secure, and easy-to-manage WiFi networks in their work and home environments at low price points,” said Patrick Lo, Chairman and CEO at NETGEAR.
The WiFi 6 standard is deployed on all the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, ensuring future compatibility to all WiFi devices and backwards compatibility with devices using WiFi 5. This advancement reduces dead zones for a more productive and less frustrating wireless experience.
The new range allows users to establish three (WAX202 and WAX206) or four (WAX214 and WAX218) separate wireless sub-networks each with separate dedicated channels (SSID), thus maximising performance and security of every connection and user-type. Small business owners or work-from-home professionals can therefore separate their business/work network traffic from the network traffic associated with their children (who are learning from home) and yet again from their traditional home network traffic; all from a single access point.
Installation for each model is quick and seamless with a web-based interface and a guided step-by-step setup enabling peace of mind and easy ongoing management. Each access point also comes equipped with Insight Business VPN, an add-on service to WiFi 6 business router mesh systems. Insight Business VPN enables small and medium size businesses (SMBs) to extend their corporate networks to branch offices and home offices of employees while ensuring each node on the network is secured and centrally managed.
