A strategic partnership with insurance innovator Evari will see RAC offer a world-first in small business insurance to its one million plus members in Western Australia.
The partnership with the iconic WA brand is another significant step forward for Perth-based Evari and its dynamic cloud-based platform which launched on to the Australian market less than a year ago.
RAC members will be eligible for a five per cent discount on Evari’s already competitively priced policies based on its unique pay for what you use business insurance model.
The flexible offering, which allows small business owners to adjust their amount of cover in line with their fluctuating need, is underwritten by certain underwriters at Lloyd’s and delivered fully digitally via phone or device, and with Evari’s simple policy wording.
Evari Chief Executive, Daniel Fogarty, said the company was very excited to be partnering with RAC and believed the relationship will be a big win for RAC members.
RAC is a well-established and respected brand and they were keen to add a small business insurance product to their portfolio that could meet the needs of the rapidly growing number of small business owners among their membership,” said Mr Fogarty.
“Our leading-edge technology meant we could quickly and easily integrate with RAC and start offering members small business insurance immediately.”
Since launching just under 12 months ago Evari has proved to be a big hit among tradies, small retail operators, and café owners whose business revenue, workloads and coverage needs vary throughout the year. The offering will soon also be extended to freelancers and professionals.
“While small business owners have embraced technology, and developed new ways of operating to meet changing consumer demands, their insurance simply hasn’t kept pace,” said Mr Fogarty.
“Small businesses have had periods in any given year where they are paying for insurance they don’t need and at other times they simply haven’t had sufficient coverage.”
Mr Fogarty said Evari’s ability to integrate with a business’ cloud accounting software, change or pause cover on demand mean owners can stay on top of changes that may impact their cover and alter it accordingly.
“The overwhelming feedback we are getting from small business owners is the simple language Evari uses to communicate its policies and the easy to use technology is finally putting them in the driver’s seat when it comes to obtaining and managing insurance.”
“It’s a game-changer for small business and it’s been a long time coming,” he said.
