Geospatial imagery technology company Spookfish has gained today after a second large-scale order by aerial imagery and data analytics solutions provider EagleView Technologies to accelerate rollout of its technology in North America.

Spookfish’s camera technology enables rapid imaging of entire countries in high resolution from a multitude of angles at a fraction of the cost of contemporary systems.
In 2016, Spookfish entered into an agreement with EagleView Technologies to use Spookfish technology in North America.

Production of this second order with EagleView has begun with first deliveries expected in June quarter this year.

“This order signifies a rapidly maturing partnership between Spookfish and EagleView and represents confidence in our capability to deliver a cutting-edge manufacturing program, and to continuously improve on the productivity advantages we have already brought to the table,” Spookfish CEO Jason Waller said.

The second purchase order with EagleView more than doubles the total number of systems committed. Terms include a significant upfront deposit to allow for the immediate commencement of the order.

The systems delivered under this second order will include significant equipment upgrades.

Coupled with the recent Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) approval of commercial operations, Spookfish believes this order will strengthen its expected revenue stream.

The first order of camera systems for EagleView have begun with final units expected to be shipped later this month.

Shares in Spookfish were trading 4 per cent higher at 7.8c in afternoon trade.
