Clens, a first of it’s kind service created by award-winning tech startup Sneaking Duck, works with any brand of frames and any kind of lens.
Clens is a service by Sneaking Duck – one of Australia’s first and most-loved online glasses retailers. Sneaking Duck was co-founded by the renowned team behind successful tech startup Shoes of Prey.
For more than five years, Sneaking Duck has been helping people around the world get amazing glasses at awesome prices by working with the best suppliers and cutting out the middlemen.
Over the years, the Sneaking Duck team heard from many customers who loved their existing frames but just wanted to upgrade their lenses. Sneaking Duck started doing this as a “secret service” for some of their best customers, but then requests for the service started coming through more and more frequently – and Clens was born.
Clens is an Australian company, however customers from anywhere in the world can order from the site with prices starting as low as $90 including free shipping, protective coatings and a 12-month warranty.
Each pair of Clens lenses come free with anti-scratch, anti-reflective and UV protection and sunglasses receives a free hard coat as well.
The company hopes Clens will bring health benefits to ordinary Australians who are struggling with the inflated cost of replacing prescription lenses.
“By going direct to consumer online, Clens cuts out the middlemen that for too long have kept lens prices far higher than they ought to be,” said Kim Heras of 25Fifteen, the parent startup studio that owns Sneaking Duck and Clens.
“Clens is disrupting the lens industry for glasses-wearers who simply want quality, convenience and low prices when it comes to replacing scratched or out-of-date prescription lenses.“
