SRJ Technologies Group (ASX: SRJ) has been awarded a contract by leading international oil and gas service firm Baker Hughes for the supply of its flange bolt integrity equipment, BoltEx.
The initial purchase order for SRJ’s BoltEx flange clamps is valued at A$231,000 marking the first of what is expected to be a significant investment by Baker Hughes. A second, larger order is already under negotiation.
Baker Hughes is one of the world’s largest oilfield services companies, providing equipment and service capabilities in more than 120 countries, with a strong focus on meeting the challenges of a net-zero future.
This order will equip Baker Hughes with an inventory of SRJ BoltEx to deliver hot bolting services to the extensive offshore and onshore oil, gas and LNG facilities.
The new contract presents a major opportunity to collaborate further with Baker Hughes as a global partner.
In October, Baker Hughes contracted SRJ to provide training for its site engineers to qualify them to use BoltEx in the field. This training was carried out in Malaysia in conjunction with SRJ’s regional partner EFTECH.
Investment by a globally renowned energy provider like Baker Hughes, reinforces SRJ’s position as a world- leading supplier of industry accredited products,” CEO, Alexander Wood, said.
“This collaboration is another fantastic addition to SRJ’s portfolio and order book, which continues to grow organically. The contract also opens the door to further discussions with Baker Hughes about larger commercial orders of our product.”
