Strategic Elements Ltd (ASX:SOR) has been granted a patent filed over the Nanocube Memory Ink technology in Japan.
This Japanese patent, JP6968057, is a Japanese jurisdictional equivalent to AAM’s US patent granted in January 2020. The patent family is held by 100% owned subsidiary Australian Advanced Materials Pty Ltd.
The company is developing printable computer memory and printable battery technologies with a team of world leading development partners.
In September 2021, the company announced it had re-commenced unrestricted access and full- time operations at the University of New South Wales. This has enabled an increase in resources available to the development team for Q4 Battery milestones and for certain work related to the Nanocube Memory Ink to commence in Q1 2022.
The company said it is “exceptionally pleased” with progress in the Battery Ink technology.
The Australian Federal Government has registered Strategic Elements as a Pooled Development Fund with a mandate to back Australian innovation.
The company operates as a venture builder where it generates high risk-high reward ventures and projects from combining teams of leading scientists or innovators.
Investors in SOR potentially pay no tax on capital gains from selling their SOR shares as the company operates under the Pooled Development program setup to encourage investment into innovation.
