Telecommunications and content solutions provider Swift Networks Group Limited (ASX: SW1) has signed a three-year reseller agreement with leading global satellite communications provider AST Australia.
With over 15 years of industry experience, AST Australia provides satellite services and equipment to a global base of over 2,000 clients in the maritime (commercial and cruise), resources, government, energy and utilities sectors.
AST Australia will offer Swift’s full suite of entertainment solutions to its current and future clients on an exclusive basis. This will include Swift’s award-winning entertainment system, video on demand, TV on demand and crew welfare services.
AST Australia Managing Director Richard Coston said the company was pleased to be working with Swift Networks to enhance the AST’s core capability of providing remote satellite communications and crew entertainment solutions for its new and existing on-shore and off-shore customers in the region and beyond.
The execution of this reseller agreement means AST will offer Swift’s services initially to customers throughout the Asia Pacific region from this week.
Swift is also working with AST Australia to see the company’s services rolled out to new and existing AST clients based in the United Kingdom, Europe and Singapore.
Swift Networks CEO, Xavier Kris, said that partnering with AST represents an exciting opportunity for Swift to leverage the global rights it has secured to the latest in movies and TV and continue its move into international markets.
