Tech entrepreneur James Cotton appointed to the Dotz Board - TechInvest Magazine Online

Listed authentication solutions provider Dotz Limited (ASX: DTZ) has further strengthened its Board, appointing technology entrepreneur James Cotton as a Non-Executive Director, effective 16 November.

Mr Cotton has more than 15 years’ experience establishing and operating technology companies, including more than a decade as the founder and CEO of globally renowned governance, risk and compliance software company CMO Software.

He has extensive experience within purpose-driven start-up companies, co-founding venture capital firm Uluwatu Capital, operations business management systems software Op Central, physical education and movement software Moovosity as well as sustainable wine brand Epic Negociants.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Mr Bernie Brookes AM said, “James’ knowledge and expertise in commercialising and globally scaling technology companies will be a valuable addition to Dotz as we continue to accelerate our international growth plans.

“We are increasing the expertise and calibre of our Board and senior management team to ensure the company is best placed to capitalise on the significant global opportunities that we are now addressing with our industry-leading authentication technology.”

Mr Cotton said, “I understand the value industries and companies place on reducing risks so they can increase performance and gain the trust of their stakeholders. With Dotz, the technology is revolutionary, and its products are ideal for improving supply chain transparency and validation for a vast range of products and industries where authenticity, trust and quality assurance are key.”

Mr Cotton has completed the President’s Program at Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Laws/Science (Hons) from University of Melbourne.
