Listed real estate company The Agency Group (ASX:AU1) has claimed the coveted prize of top office in WA at the annual Real Estate Institute of WA (REIWA) Awards.

The WA Office took home the award for the highest sales in the financial year with 1,302 residential properties going under the hammer and was also awarded the top office for sales value over the period, seeing the properties combine for a massive $650 million.

The sales value figure received a sizable boost from a major transaction in Halls Head, with a property snapped up for a total of $4.35 million.

The Agency also wholly-operates Sell Lease Property (SLP) in the WA market, which recorded the third highest sales from an office in WA during the financial year, booking 520 transactions.

Combined, the SLP and The Agency’s figures amassed more than 1,800 sales with a sales value of more than $880 million.

The strong performance from The Agency’s WA office occurred in market which is displaying green shoots. The number of residential sales across WA rose from approximately 34,900 in the previous financial year to more than 37,800.

Commenting on the REIWA Awards, The Agency Group managing director Mr Paul Niardone said:

“I am thrilled to be able to once again see our WA office awarded as the best in the state having recorded the best sales figure and sales value in a financial year.

“Not only are we making sales but our network of high-quality agents continues to expand with our largest ever number of agents in WA working under The Agency brand. It is also notable that our wholly-owned subsidiary SLP continues to perform admirably, finishing in the top five offices for sales.

“Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 The Agency WA has proved resilient delivering our best ever month of June as confidence returned to the market.”

The Agency operates a unique model which centralises all agent support and other complementary services, such as financing and settlement services. Additionally, the model offers higher levels of commissions to further incentivise agents to focus on what they do best – making sales and listing property.

The Agency’s model frees agents from the shackles of the traditional franchise-based real estate office which burdens agents with excess paperwork and resourcing challenges, while also delivering a lower share of sales commissions.
