Telecommunications innovator Vonex (ASX:VN8) continues to realise value from its in-house innovation team, launching a new technology “Sign On Glass” (SOG).
The technology will be rolled out to the company’s entire channel partner network, which consists of over 400 organisations acting like a dedicated Vonex sales force. Channel partners are selling Vonex’s proprietary technologies, such as its cloud-based Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and Vonex-branded traditional mobile, internet and business phone systems.
SOG is a Vonex-developed interface where clients and channel partners can enter their information, as well as request products, upgrades, additions and modifications.
It digitises the entire sales process and the telco has confirmed it will continue to develop the technology’s capabilities. Vonex intends to develop SOG so that channel partners are able to see product availability in real-time, as well as automate the dispatch of hardware.
This is yet another example that the Vonex Technology Development Team is at the forefront of PBX development, deployment and support,” Vonex Managing Director, Matt Fahey said.
“This is a powerful interface which will enable IT companies to manage their clients’ telecommunications products within their existing IT business model. It is key to expanding our channel partner network, in particular to provide the IT managed service providers the real tools they need,” he said.
Vonex has commenced testing some of the proposed advanced features, with hundreds of test applications used to date by the development team.
