ASX-listed telecommunications innovator Vonex continues to rally momentum, announcing its PBX technology is growing at 500 users per month, with the company surpassing 24,000 active subscriptions.

The record growth points to successful marketing initiatives, with the tech play targeting sales from areas receiving NBN infrastructure – particularly in south-eastern Queensland.

Vonex picks up steam, surpasses 24,000 active subscriptions

To date, the healthy growth figures represent a 28% year-on-year gain in PBX users from 18,700 PBX users in July 2017.

Its flagship PBX (Private Branch Exchange) software is a proprietary system connecting telephone extensions via the internet rather than on-site hardware, offering a host of customisable features as well as significant cost reductions for customers.

Commenting on the PBX user milestone managing director Matthew Fahey said:

Management is extremely pleased with the growth in registered users over the past 12 months, considering the resources allocated towards the Company’s successful IPO in June 2018.

“With the injection of funding, the new marketing campaign and the collaboration with CounterPath, the Company is well positioned to further ramp up its PBX user base which will translate to tangible revenue growth,” he said.

The recently announced collaboration with NASDAQ and TSX-listed CounterPath is tipped to push the company towards even greater product commercialisation.

The partnership will see Vonex launch a branded version of CounterPath’s popular VoIP business telecommunications software, known as Bria.

The Australian-based telco holds a strong sales advantage through its network of hundreds of channel partners, which effectively act as a sales force already ingratiated within the SME and business markets.

Sales for the Vonex branded Bria software are anticipated shortly.

The Company intends to sustain its growing momentum, with a major marketing push into major Australian cities in October.
