Victoria-based Wellness and Beauty Solutions Limited (ASX: WNB) has joined the race to meet the unprecedented COVID-19-related demand, with the launch of its wholly owned proprietary anti-bacterial product range MICRO19.
The company has already received its first customer order from Chemist Warehouse and currently negotiating further retail partners in Asia.
Managing Director, Christine Parkes, said MICRO19 is 100% Australian owned and manufactured with ingredients and raw materials sourced through Australian suppliers and is efficacious against 99.99% of germs.
To date Wellness and Beauty Solutions has launched:
- MICRO19 Hand Sanitiser Pump in 300ml in both peach/cucumber and lavender scents
- MICRO19 Hand Sanitiser in 50ml in both peach/cucumber and lavender scents
- MICRO19 Room and Surface Spray 200ml orange scent.
Ms Parkes said Wellness and Beauty Solutions’ wholly owned subsidiary, The Giving Brands Company, has access to product formulations and benefits from its speed to market ability as a result of its experience in product chemistry, manufacturing, marketing and its strong retail partner network.
The company also has significant influence on the supply chain and is well placed to access all ingredients and packaging in Australia.
She said MICRO19 was aligned to The Giving Brands Company commitment to the better good of the world and addressing the community demand for effective and trusted sanitiser products that form one part of the COVID-19 community containment response.
Within the current environment and the exponential spread of COVID-19, demand for anti-bacterial and sanitiser products is currently incredibly high and we expect this level of demand will be sustained for some time to come given the likely protracted nature of the current response.
“In response to the evolving situation, we spent the last six weeks accelerating the development of our anti-bacterial products, which are now ready for launch with our first customer order. Our ability to be nimble has allowed us to move quickly on this opportunity.”
“Whilst there is clearly a benefit in the rapid development of MICRO19, we have not compromised on quality or our commitment to offering consumers beautiful, efficacious, and sustainable products that lightly touch the earth and also serve an important community service.”
