Successful startup-turned industry leader, Zoom Video Communications has raked up two major awards bestowed by Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest job and recruitment sites.
Zoom took home the coveted prize for the top-ranked CEO for a large company, with founder and CEO, Eric S. Yuan receiving 99% employee approval.
The conferencing giant was also deemed a top workplace destination, ranking 2nd out of 100 large US companies.
Global management consulting firm Bain & Company just pipped Zoom for the top gong.
Zoom has been on a fairy-tale run since its establishment in 2011 that has seen the business grow from idea to Silicon Valley behemoth with over 1,300 staff – all the while maintaining its identity as a prized location to work.
The business has continued to be managed by Mr Yuan, who presided over both the establishment and recent growth spurt of the conferencing company.
“This award warms my heart,” he said.
There is no better compliment for Zoom than our employees feeling happy and enthusiastic about working here.
“We care deeply about our employees and will do our best to keep up the level of happiness and satisfaction in our big family of over a thousand dedicated people. This, in turn, drives the happiness of our customers, partners, and anyone else that interacts with Zoom,” Yuan added.
Glassdoor conducts rigorous company research during its awards process, with winners determined through anonymous employee feedback.
The final list of awards is compiled using Glassdoor’s proprietary technology, which takes into account the quantity, quality, and consistency of reviews.
