The Aruba Regional and Local Partner Awards 2021 have been announced, with two Australian partners receiving accolades at the Asia-Pacific & Japan region level.

Accucom was named the APJ Experience Edge Solution of the Year, while Data#3 was awarded APJ As-A-Service Partner of the Year. Data#3 was also named Partner of the Year in the Local Partner Awards.

“For years the APJ region has been the growth engine of Aruba’s global business,” said Tristan Rajah, Channel Leader, Aruba South Pacific. “For two Australian partners to get awards at this level is tremendous recognition. We’re really proud of our local partner community and love seeing their names in lights on the big stage.”

The awards have been presented through the first week of December, with the APJ Regional Awards taking place on Wednesday, 1 December. Two events were held for the local awards, with Sydney Awards for Northern Region on Wednesday, 1 December, and Melbourne Awards for Southern Region on Friday, 3 December.

Accucom was acknowledged as a leading partner for more than ten years, with a high capacity for articulating Aruba’s full range of solutions. The company had new customer wins, including a major networking account win in the Financial Services sector.

“For the past decade Accucom has been a driving force in our success in K-12 education for NSW,” said Rajah. “They have had skills well beyond their size, and their growth has followed the same trajectory as ours. I am so proud to see them take out the Experience Edge Solution award for a project in the FSI vertical, as they branch out their business. It shows that their skills are not only in Education, and that they can match it with any reseller in any vertical.”

Data#3, an Aruba Platinum Partner, is a HPE Greenlake partner and a part of a global pilot program which utilises systems integration to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction around Aruba’s Greenlake offering. Alongside a range of NaaS marketing campaigns, Data#3 drove many new opportunities through the past year.

“We’ve made some big investments in Data#3 for the coming year and a lot of them are off the back of a very successful FY21,” says Rajah. “They have shown a strong commitment to a key strategic focus of ours – GreenLake for Aruba. More and more customers are looking for Network-as-a-Service offerings, and this is driving what we do as a business now and into the next five years. Data#3 are well positioned to lead the way and take full advantage of this market opportunity. We are very excited for what’s to come with them on the national scale.”

At the local awards, Data#3 also won Partner of the Year, while eight further partners were also recognised across the Local Partner award categories.

  • Partner of the Year: Data#3
  • National Growth Partner of the Year: Honeylight Consulting
  • Partner Excellence (Northern): Optus Enterprise
  • Partner Excellence (Southern): NEC
  • Mid-Market Partner of the Year (Northern): Computer Systems (Australia)
  • Mid-Market Partner of the Year (Southern): Blu e Connections
  • National MSP Partner of the Year: The Somerville Group
  • SMB Partner of the Year: iTech Frontier
  • National Marketing Excellence Award: Dicker Data

“There were many other strong performers who didn’t get awards in what was a hotly contested decision making session,” said Rajah. “I’d like to recognise Matrix CNI, for their consistently strong performance and being a true extension of our business. And a shout out to Logicalis in Victoria for being an integral partner with us in challenging the enterprise market.”

“In the mid-market, which has seen over 150% growth, Computer Systems Australia and Blue Connections are worthy winners. However, we also need to recognise a number of partners such as Metropolitan Computer Supplies, C5 Technologies, Centorrino Technologies & Accucom who have all helped us excel in this space.”

“We’ve had a record FY21. We’ve done more business than ever before, we’ve won more customers than ever before, and we’ve sold more As-A-Service solutions than ever before. As a channel-first business, this means more opportunities for our partners to be profitable and wrap more of their services around our solutions.”

“The award winners have all shared in this success during FY21. They have excelled in their Aruba skillset, they’ve shown Customer First, Customer Last values, they have tightly aligned with our strategic shift to as-a-service, and won market share off our competitors.”

“There can only be a handful of awards winners, from a large community of deserving partners. I want to thank all the partners in our community, we’ve had an outstanding year and our success is your success.”
