Counter-drone specialist DroneShield (ASX: DRO) has marked another milestone with an $8.2 million repeat order from a European government agency for its dismounted and vehicle-mounted counter-drone systems. This announcement is accompanied by high-profile defence appointments to its executive team, signalling a strategic expansion amid rapid industry growth.

Delivery of the systems is set to occur over the next three months, with full cash payment expected in the first quarter of 2025. CEO Oleg Vornik highlighted the significance of such repeat contracts:

“Larger orders of this type from repeat customers of this calibre are a validation that DroneShield products are meeting the challenge set by sophisticated military customers. As the threat of drones increases across the battlespace, militaries need broader packages like this one.”
