HearMeOut is leading the charge in voice based social media, launching the latest version of its flagship app which includes the cutting-edge feature allowing users to create “voice memes”.
Version 2.0 of the HearMeOut app – which is now available for download on the Apple app store and Google Play store – allows users to add images to posts and bring their voice to life by creating “voice memes”, tell a story and more.
The new version of the app offers a new sleek design with easier navigation and additional features including a new home page full of content categories to improve content visibility as well as a new fully customisable profile page.
An improved “Drive Mode” experience is another feature, allowing drivers to easily and automatically listen to a feed while driving whether they are in an SYNC®-enabled vehicle or not.
Users can also record and post quickly with the option to add an image, filters, text and tags while the new Featured Posts section allows users to discover new talent to follow in seconds.
We are incredibly excited to launch these new features to our vibrant community of creators,” said co-founder and CEO Moran Chamsi.
“HearMeOut was developed with the aim of bringing back authenticity to social media. We believe the human voice is the best way to communicate, because it conveys our thoughts the most profoundly and personally and the new version of HearMeOut allows our users to do this with a variety of richer features,” he concluded.
The rise and rise in voice-based social media
According to well known tech mentor Jeff Bullas in his article “The Untapped Social Network With 10x the Potential of Twitter”, more people are turning to voice over text as the preferred method to communicate as it “conveys emotion, tone, and subtleties that text is unable to capture”.
In his article, Bullas points out that HearMeOut is leading the charge in this space, having already partnered with Ford Motors.
“Hundreds of influencers are already using the HearMeOut app, taking advantage of what voice can do for the brands they work with and even their own personal brand,” Mr Bullas writes.
“They are even using this app with their existing social networks by sharing a voice post on Twitter and essentially creating “Voice Tweets”.
“Their 2.0 version, which was just released, has a homepage full of content and feature opportunities for brands and influencers.”
The HearMeOut app is available via mobile (iOS and Android), desktop and in automobiles utilising the Ford Motor Company SYNC® in-car entertainment technology in select markets including USA, India, UK and Ireland.
