Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT) has received a purchase order from the French Ministry of the Armed Forces (Ministry) for a D523 low-pressure cold spray system (D523).
The sale was made to the Ministry for A$99,168, which purchased the D523 on behalf of the Fleet Support Service of the Navy Nationale (French Navy).
It is expected the D523 will be used in the sustainment and maintenance of the French Navy’s fleet and be used specifically to treat corrosion, restore worn surfaces, and restore part geometries in-situ, enabling faster, more cost-effective maintenance.
The sale highlights Titomic’s significant entry into the European defence industry, demonstrating growing relevance in the maritime domain, particularly for naval purposes. The sale not only establishes a compelling precedent for other navies globally but also reinforces the notion that such ventures hold considerable promise on an international scale.
This sale of a D523 cold spray system to the French Navy marks a notable achievement for Titomic. This strategic entry into the European defence sector sets the stage for potential growth and collaboration and provides a further platform to demonstrate Titomic’s innovative technology in the European defence industry,” Managing Director, Herbert Koeck, said.
“We look forward to continuing to grow sales throughout Europe and other key markets globally, with this sale demonstrating the growing confidence and awareness of Titomic’s unique technological capabilities.”
