Australian online training platform developer Velpic Limited (ASX: VPC) has scored a major coupe with the addition of leading sporting body the National Rugby League (NRL) to its growing list of enterprise clients.

Velpic kicks a goal as NRL runs with its training platform

Velpic LMS will be rolled out across Australia and New Zealand by the National Rugby League and used by 4,000 players across the talented player and elite pathways.

Paul Heptonstall, a Senior Welfare & Education Manager with the NRL, said the organisation is moving forward with a blended learning strategy for players using Velpic’s eLearning technology to deliver educational learning on topics like wellbeing, respectful relationships and social responsibilities both on and off the field.

“The NRL and State Leagues continue to look at the best opportunities to educate players and officials about Wellbeing,” Mr Heptonstall said.

Everyone has access to a mobile phone, so what better way to deliver Wellbeing and Education messages to the hip pocket than Velpic, as it works on all mobile devices,” he said.

Under the Velpic platform, players will be notified automatically of new educational modules and the NRL will have the ability to track and respond automatically as modules are completed.

A dashboard and reporting tool will provide real-time information on completion rates and engagement.

Velpic CEO Russell Francis, said the company’s work with the Canterbury Bulldogs had brought it to the attention of the NRL.

“We look forward to helping the NRL rollout their blended learning strategy in 2018”.
