Six months after launching in Perth, disruptive laundry service Laundromap Pty Ltd has engaged Cottesloe corporate advisory firm View Street Partners to help it grow its footprint throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Laundromap Pty Ltd

Laundromap provides on-demand laundry and dry cleaning services to consumers – providing hotel-style pick-up and delivery of laundry to households throughout the Perth and Auckland metro areas.

The company is disrupting the traditional dry cleaning model, catering to time-poor, busy and professional households who are searching for an affordable and convenient laundry solution.

Disruptive laundry business chases Australian expansion after Perth trial“In a very short time we have seen significant changes to the way we book accommodation, use transport and the way we order food,” said View Street Partners’ Director and Co-Founder John Hannaford.

“With the benefit of world leading technology, and with strategic partnerships and acquisitions of existing dry-cleaning businesses in key markets, Laundromap is integrating traditional channels with disruptive techniques.”

Co-founder and Chief Executive of Laundromap, Hayden Foster, said convenience and quality of service have been the main attractions for customers.

“It’s quite an old-school industry that hasn’t really kept up with the times,” Mr Foster said.

Convenience is the major point. We’re trying to give people a little bit of their day back by providing a 7-day a week service,” he added.

With aims to become Australasia’s first nationally recognised on-demand dry cleaning and laundry brand, Laundromap’s growth has seen the business launch this year in Auckland and Perth with a recent move into Sydney. Expansion into Melbourne, followed by other regional cities throughout Australia and NZ, is planned.

“With word starting to spread, we are already seeing customer demand grow across areas currently serviced,” Hannaford said.

“The model allows for rapid expansion and, with all operational processes in place, we anticipate Laundromap will be operational in five Australian capital cites by the third quarter of 2018,” he concluded.
